Adding Online Booking to an Existing Website Without Rebuilding Everything

Every missed call is a missed booking. If you run a hotel, clinic, salon, restaurant or trekking agency, you already know the pattern: enquiries arrive at midnight, on Saturdays, during Dashain when the office is empty. Adding online booking to an existing website fixes exactly that. Customers book while you sleep, and your staff stop playing phone tag. The upgrade is usually smaller and cheaper than owners expect, if you pick the right level of system.

Three Levels of Booking, Three Very Different Price Tags

Level 1: a smart enquiry form. Date pickers, service selection, instant email or Viber notification to you, confirmation handled by a human. No live availability. Perfect for trekking agencies and event venues where every booking needs a conversation anyway. NPR 8,000 to 20,000 added to an existing site.

Level 2: real-time calendar booking. Customers see open slots and book them; double-booking becomes impossible. Right for clinics, salons, consultants, futsal grounds. NPR 25,000 to 60,000 including setup and staff training.

Level 3: booking with payment. Availability plus deposits or full payment through eSewa, Khalti or Stripe. Hotels and tour operators taking foreign guests usually need this, because a booking with money attached is a booking that shows up. NPR 50,000 to 120,000 depending on the engine.

Do You Need to Rebuild Your Site First?

Usually not. If your site runs on WordPress, booking plugins integrate cleanly into your existing pages within days. If it is an old static site, we can sometimes embed a hosted booking widget, though it tends to look bolted on because it is. When the site is genuinely past it, we fold a rebuild and the booking system into one fixed-price project, which is almost always cheaper than doing them a year apart with two different vendors.

The Hotel Question: Your Engine vs OTA Commissions

A Sauraha lodge we work with was paying 15 to 20 percent commission on every Booking.com reservation. We added a direct booking engine with a "book direct, best rate" banner. Within a season roughly a third of bookings moved direct. The engine paid for itself in about four months, and they now own the guest email list too, which the OTAs never gave them.

You keep the OTA listings for visibility. You just stop paying commission on guests who were already on your website.

Details That Make or Break a Booking System

Confirmation must be instant, by email at minimum, ideally with a WhatsApp follow-up. Buffer times matter: a salon needs 15 minutes between chairs, a clinic needs cleanup slots. Decide your no-show policy before launch, not after the first empty slot. And test the whole flow on a cheap Android phone on mobile data, because that is what most of your customers are holding.

Getting It Done With WebsNP

Tell us your business type and roughly how bookings work today, and we will recommend the cheapest level that solves the problem, with a fixed price within 24 hours. Delivery in 2 to 7 days for most booking projects, free SSL and hosting for the first year, a training video for your front desk, and post-launch support from 15 days up to 6 months depending on package. If we think a simple form does the job, we will say so and quote the small number, not the big one.

Your competitors answer the phone during office hours. Your website can take bookings at 2 am. That gap is where you win.
