Brick Kiln and Crusher Software ยท Guide
How to Choose Brick Kiln and Crusher Software in Nepal
The right brick kiln or crusher software is the one the gate clerk will still use on the busiest afternoon, with six trucks waiting and a contractor shouting from the cab. Features matter less than whether recording a load takes under a minute. Before you talk to any vendor, write down what goes wrong in your yard today.
Start with your own leaks
Most yards lose money in the same few places: loads that leave without a proper slip, credit that is never chased, stock that is estimated and fuel that nobody compares with income. List yours. If your main trouble is disputes with contractors, the ledger and statements matter most. If it is theft or short loading, weighbridge control matters most.
What a yard system must do
- Gate slip per trip: vehicle, driver, material, quantity, buyer and time, numbered so a missing number is noticed.
- Several units: bricks per thousand, gravel per tonne or cubic foot, sand per tipper. One forced unit leads to workarounds.
- Weights: gross, tare and net, with a clear way to correct a mistake that leaves a trace.
- Customer ledger: part payments, advances and an ageing list.
- Stock: production or crushing in, dispatch out, balance by grade.
- Labour and advances: seasonal workers take money months before the work is done, so advances need their own ledger.
Questions to ask a vendor
Ask to see a loading slip being created and printed. Ask what happens when two trucks are being loaded at once. Ask how a wrong weight is corrected and who can do it. Ask whether the weighbridge reading can be imported or must be typed, and which models they have worked with. Beware of a vendor who says every weighbridge works with no questions; the truth depends on the device.
Ask where the data lives and who can export it. Your customer balances are the most valuable thing in the system, and you should be able to take a full copy at any time.
Mistakes to avoid
- Buying a retail billing app. It does not understand trips, tare weights or a buyer with several sites.
- Skipping opening balances. If old credit is not entered properly on day one, the first statement will be wrong and trust in the system collapses.
- Training only the accountant. The gate clerk is the person who decides whether the data is complete.
- Ignoring weak internet. Many yards are far from towns. Ask how entry works when the signal drops.
- Treating software as compliance. It keeps tidy records. It does not replace your duties to the local authority or the IRD.
A simple scoring approach
Give each vendor a score out of five on the gate slip, the ledger, the weighbridge approach, stock and training. Add a mark for how honestly they answered. A vendor who admits what they must customise is usually safer than one who promises everything on the first call.
Check how the system treats a bad day
Demos always show a clean day. Ask the vendor to show a bad one. A truck is weighed, loaded and then the buyer refuses part of the load. A cheque bounces. The power goes off at the weighbridge halfway through a slip. A contractor pays for three loads in one lump with no reference. Each of these happens in a real yard every month, and the way a system handles them tells you more than any feature list. Look for clear reversals that leave a trace, part payments that can be matched to specific bills and a way to finish a slip after the interruption without creating a duplicate.
Think about the people who will use it
A yard has three kinds of users. The gate clerk wants speed and big buttons. The accountant wants totals, ledgers and VAT-ready invoices. The owner wants a short daily summary on a phone, often from another town. A system that serves only one of these will be abandoned by the others. Ask to see each screen, and ask whether the owner view works on a basic phone with a weak signal. Also ask how many hours of training the clerk needs; if the answer is days, expect resistance during the season.
Plan the first month, not just the purchase
The first month decides success. Agree who enters opening balances, who checks them against the khata and on what date the old book stops being used. Agree what happens on the first day a clerk forgets to make a slip, because it will happen. A vendor who helps you plan this is worth more than one who only installs and leaves.
Your next step
Write your list of leaks, the units you sell in and whether you own a weighbridge. Then look at the WebsNP brick kiln and crusher software page and message us on WhatsApp for a demo. For a processing plant with bills of materials, see factory production software. Pricing is given after the demo because it depends on sites, devices and customisation.
