Factory Production Software for Small Manufacturers in Nepal

Plan production orders, issue raw material by recipe, record wastage and know your real cost and finished stock at any moment.

Small factories in Nepal make everything from noodles, bricks-and-block items, furniture and plastic goods to garments, soap and packaged food. They share one difficulty: the owner knows the selling price but not the true cost. Raw material goes out of the store on a slip, the machine runs, finished goods arrive on the shelf, and nobody can say exactly what was used, what was wasted and what each unit cost.

WebsNP Factory Production Software ties these steps together. You define a bill of materials for each product, raise a production order, issue the raw material against it and record what was produced and what was wasted. The system updates raw material stock and finished goods stock and calculates the actual cost per unit.

It is configured for small and mid-sized units, not for a giant plant. Start with products, recipes and stock, and add costing, dispatch and accounts when you are ready. If you need company-wide accounting, HR and purchasing too, compare it with our ERP software. Message us on WhatsApp for a demo.

Problems it solves

The problem todayHow the software fixes it
Nobody knows how much raw material a product should consume, so the store keeper issues by habit.A bill of materials sets the standard quantity per unit, and issues are compared with it for every order.
Wastage is hidden inside the gap between what went out and what came back.Scrap and wastage are recorded at each order, so the actual yield and loss percentage are visible.
The selling price is set on guesswork because cost is only known roughly.Material, labour and overhead are added to each order, giving actual cost per unit and margin.
Finished stock in the godown does not match the register.Production, dispatch and returns update finished stock automatically, with a physical count adjustment trail.
Customers phone to ask when the order will be ready and no one has a clear answer.Orders show status from planned to in-process to completed to dispatched, so you can answer quickly.
Purchasing happens after the stock has already run out.Reorder levels and a requirement list from open orders show what to buy and when.

Built for how Nepal works

Load-shedding and generator use

Power interruptions affect output. You can log downtime and generator hours so costs and delays are explained, not guessed.

Imported raw material lead times

Many units depend on imported inputs with long lead times. Reorder levels and purchase planning take that into account.

VAT on purchases and sales

If you are VAT registered, purchases carry input VAT and sales carry output VAT at 13 percent unless an item is exempt. The software can hold both and produce the invoice records; your accountant confirms treatment.

Credit sales to dealers and retailers

Most small manufacturers sell on credit to shops and distributors. Customer ledgers and due lists are part of the system.

Nepali fiscal year and BS dates

Reports, stock valuation dates and closing follow the Nepali fiscal year beginning in Shrawan, with dates in BS.

Frequently asked questions

Is this suitable for a very small factory?

Yes. A unit with a handful of products can start with recipes, raw material stock and finished stock. Costing, workers and dispatch can be switched on as the business grows.

What is a bill of materials?

It is the recipe for one unit or batch of a product: which raw materials are needed, in what quantity, with expected wastage. The system uses it to plan requirements and to compare actual use with the standard.

Can it handle several production stages?

Yes. Semi-finished items from one stage can be inputs to the next, for example cutting then stitching then finishing. Each stage can have its own output and wastage record.

Does it calculate cost per unit?

It adds material, labour and overhead you allocate to the order and divides by the good output. The result depends on the accuracy of your entries and the allocation rule you choose.

Can it issue VAT invoices?

It can be configured to issue sales invoices with 13 percent VAT for taxable goods if you are registered. Confirm the exact requirements and any exemptions with your accountant or the tax office.

Can it track batches and expiry?

Yes, for products where that matters, such as food and cosmetics. Batch numbers and dates can be recorded at production and carried to dispatch.

Will it work during power cuts?

A local setup with backup power keeps the store and office working during cuts. We discuss the best arrangement for your site during the demo.

How much does it cost?

It depends on modules, users and customisation. We give a quote after a demo, with one-time and running costs shown separately.
