Canva Brand Kit and a Month of Social Posts: A How-To

Updated 15 Oct 2026 ยท 7 min read ยท WebsNP team

The fastest way to make a month of social posts in Canva is to set up your brand kit once, build three or four templates and then fill them with your real content each week. The steps below fit a shop, restaurant, school or personal page in Nepal. Some tools mentioned, such as the brand kit and resizing, are Pro features, and the vendor decides what each plan includes.

Step 1: Collect your brand basics

Before opening Canva, gather the logo as a transparent PNG, two or three brand colours with their hex codes and the fonts you want to use. If you have no logo, a clean name in one font is better than a poor symbol. Keep to two fonts: one for headlines and one for body text.

Step 2: Fill the brand kit

Add the logo, colours and fonts to your brand kit so that every new design offers them with a click. If you plan to post Nepali text, test your headline in the font first. Not every font shows Devanagari properly, and a missing character looks unprofessional. Upload a custom font only if you have the right to use it and the plan allows it.

Step 3: Build four core templates

  1. Offer post. Product image, one line of text, price or discount, contact.
  2. Tip or information post. A short heading and three bullet points.
  3. Festival greeting. Logo, a warm line and a clean background.
  4. Customer quote card. Use only genuine messages from real customers, with their permission.

Design each in the main size you post, such as a square or portrait post. Then use the resize tool to make story and cover versions where your plan has it.

Step 4: Plan the month on one page

WeekThemePosts
1Introduce products or servicesOffer, tip, behind the scenes
2Customer questions answeredTip, offer, short video
3Festival or seasonal angleGreeting, offer, reminder
4Review and recapBest of the month, new offer

Step 5: Build in one session

Duplicate a template, replace the image and text, rename the file with the date and move on. Batch the same kind of design together, because switching between formats slows you down. If you use the background remover for product images, do all the photos in one go.

Step 6: Check before you export

  • Spelling of names, numbers, phone and prices.
  • Text is readable on a small phone screen.
  • Nothing important sits at the very edge where platforms crop.
  • Photos and music are licensed for your type of use.

Step 7: Schedule or post

If your plan includes a content planner and your platform supports it, schedule directly. Otherwise download the files into a dated folder and post from your phone. Keep a simple note of what each post got in reactions and messages. After a month you will know which template works.

Keep the system alive

Review the brand kit once a quarter. Remove old logos and unused colours so teammates do not pick the wrong one. If someone leaves your team, check who still has access. You can read more about the plan on the Canva Pro Nepal page.

Mistakes that slow a content plan down

  • Starting from a blank page each time. Templates exist to stop this. Duplicate, do not rebuild.
  • Too many themes. Choose one clear message for each post and keep the rest for the caption.
  • Posting only offers. Mix useful tips and local stories with sales posts so your page does not feel like a leaflet.
  • No review step. A second pair of eyes catches the wrong price or date before customers do.
  • No record. Without notes you cannot tell which template brings messages.

Working with a helper or intern

If someone else builds the posts, give them a one-page guide: logo rules, colours, fonts, tone of voice and the approval route. Share templates rather than raw access to everything, and make one person responsible for approving the final export. This is also a good moment to check who holds the main account login, because losing it when a helper leaves would put your whole library at risk.

A monthly rhythm also helps you plan costs. When you know how many posts you make, you can judge honestly whether the paid tools are being used or the free plan would do.

Reviewing results at month end

At the end of the month, list your posts and note which got the most messages, shares or sales enquiries. Look for patterns in format, wording and timing rather than single lucky posts. Retire the template that never works, and make two variations of the one that does. After three months you will have a small, proven set of designs, which is the real value of a content plan.

Your next step

Spend one hour this week on the brand kit and one template. If you are ready to try the Pro tools and cannot pay Canva directly, message WebsNP on WhatsApp for the current plans. For posts that lead to orders, a proper e-commerce website gives customers somewhere to buy.
