Canva Pro Checklist: 12 Mistakes Nepali Users Make
Most Canva Pro problems are preventable. They come from buying through an unclear route, mixing up accounts, ignoring licences or exporting in the wrong format. Use this checklist before you subscribe and again every few months.
Before you subscribe
- Write down the exact Pro tools you need.
- Choose the email or login you will use, and make sure you can recover it.
- Decide whether you need an individual or team plan.
- Get the plan, term and amount in writing.
- Ask about renewal and who controls it.
- Ask what support you get if something does not work.
Twelve mistakes to avoid
1. Buying a shared or cracked login
It can be closed at any time and you lose your designs. WebsNP does not supply such accounts and nobody should ask you to use one.
2. Using a work design on a personal account
If your staff member leaves with the login, you lose the files. Use an account the business controls.
3. Skipping the brand kit
Without it, every designer on the team picks a slightly different blue. Fill it in during the first week.
4. Using a font that breaks Nepali text
Test Devanagari before you finish a design. A broken letter on a printed banner is expensive to correct.
5. Forgetting about licences
Stock content has terms. Read them for commercial use, resale and logos. Do not use celebrity images or copyrighted music without the right.
6. Exporting the wrong file type
Use PNG for graphics with sharp text, JPG for photos, PDF for print and documents, and video formats for animation. Ask your press for the file type they need.
7. Not saving the editable version
Keep designs in named folders in Canva and download a PDF backup of important print files.
8. Trusting auto-generated text without checking
AI writing can contain errors, wrong facts or awkward Nepali. Always read and correct before publishing.
9. Ignoring the expiry date
Put a reminder in your calendar a week before the term ends so a lapse does not stop a campaign.
10. Letting too many people edit
Limit editing rights to people who need them and use view or comment access for the rest.
11. Designing too much text
Small Nepali text on a busy photo is hard to read on a phone. One message per design works best.
12. Not checking the phone number
A wrong digit on an offer post wastes a whole campaign. Have someone else read it.
After your order is confirmed
- Sign in and check that the Pro tools you wanted appear.
- Set up the brand kit.
- Save the chat, receipt and end date in one folder.
- Tell the seller quickly if something differs from what was agreed.
A short walkthrough
A tuition centre wants clean admission posters and certificates. The coordinator lists needs: brand kit, resizing and premium templates. She asks for plan, term and amount in writing, orders for a short term and sets up the logo and colours on day one. She tests Nepali headlines in three fonts, picks the one that renders properly and builds one template per use. When the term nears its end she checks how many designs she made, then decides whether to renew. It is a quiet process, and the quiet is the benefit.
What WebsNP can and cannot promise
We help buyers get a Canva Pro subscription without an international card. We make no claim to be an official partner. The vendor controls features, limits and refund rules, and we say so openly. See the Canva Pro Nepal page.
A monthly five-minute review
Once a month, open your account and check five things: who has access, whether the brand kit is current, whether any folders hold old drafts you can archive, when the term ends and whether you actually used the Pro tools. This habit keeps costs honest. If you find you used nothing, you can decide calmly about renewal instead of by default.
Protect your work
Download a copy of important files such as logos, menus and price lists, and keep them in a folder on your computer or a drive. Cloud tools are convenient, but the safest approach is to hold your own copy of anything the business cannot afford to lose. Use a strong password and two-step verification on the account, and never share a one-time code with anybody, including a seller.
Questions before you renew
Ask which Pro features you used in the last term, how many designs you made, and whether the brand kit is actually being followed by everyone. If the answers are thin, shorten the next term or drop back to free. If you made a lot of designs and saved real time, renewing early and asking the seller for current terms is sensible. A renewal should always be a conscious choice.
