Ecommerce Website for Nepal: Online Shop with Payment Options, COD and Delivery Areas
Your own online store that takes orders day and night, supports cash on delivery, can be configured for local payment options and keeps stock in step with the shop.
Many Nepali shops already sell online, but through Facebook posts, Instagram messages and WhatsApp screenshots. Orders arrive as chat, prices are repeated forty times a day, stock is guessed and a customer in Pokhara asks the same delivery question that a customer in Kathmandu asked yesterday. It works, but it does not scale, and it depends on someone answering every message.
An ecommerce website turns that chat into a catalogue with photos, prices, variants and a checkout. Customers choose products, enter the delivery address, select how they want to pay and receive an order confirmation. You see the orders in one place, with stock updated, and your brand sits on your own domain instead of a social page you do not control.
WebsNP builds ecommerce sites configured for Nepali shopping habits, including cash on delivery, delivery areas and charges, and payment options that can be integrated subject to each provider's own onboarding. Price comes after a demo and a clear quotation.
Who Ecommerce Website Software is for
Shops that sell mainly through Facebook and Instagram
Clothing, cosmetics, gifts, electronics and home goods sellers tired of copying prices and addresses from chats.
Retailers with a physical store
Businesses that want a web catalogue linked to the same stock they sell over the counter.
Wholesalers and brands
Sellers who want repeat buyers to order from a price list, with quantity-based pricing and approved accounts.
Handicraft and local product exporters
Makers who want a professional storefront to show their work and receive enquiries and orders.
Grocery, food and daily-needs sellers
Local businesses delivering within a city or valley area, with delivery slots and area-based charges.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Orders arrive as scattered chats, so some are missed or entered wrong. | Customers place orders through a checkout form, and every order appears in one admin list with status and customer details. |
| Customers ask about stock that is already sold out. | Stock levels update when orders are placed and, if linked, when you sell in the shop, so out-of-stock items are flagged. |
| Delivery charges and areas are quoted by hand each time. | Delivery areas and charges are set up once, and the checkout calculates the fee from the customer's location. |
| Payment confirmation means checking screenshots and bank apps. | Payment options are shown at checkout and order payment status is recorded, with gateway integrations configured where the provider allows. |
| Cash on delivery orders are returned and nobody knows why. | Order status, phone verification steps and return reasons are tracked, so patterns in failed deliveries become visible. |
| The business has no customer list of its own. | Customer accounts and order history live on your site, which you can use for service messages and, with consent, offers. |
| Social media reach drops and sales fall with it. | A website with good product pages can bring search traffic and repeat buyers that do not depend on a single social platform. |

Wallets and QR payments are widely used. The site can be configured to integrate with providers such as eSewa, Khalti and Fonepay, subject to your merchant approval from them, since each provider has its own onboarding and terms.
Delivery inside and outside the valley
Delivery cost, time and reliability differ between Kathmandu valley, major cities and remote districts. The shop lets you price and promise by area honestly.
Mobile-first customers
Most visitors will browse on phones, often on mobile data. Pages are built to load lightly and checkout is designed for small screens.
Festival buying peaks
Dashain, Tihar and wedding seasons drive sales. Coupons, stock alerts and delivery cut-off dates help you prepare for rush weeks.

Can customers pay with eSewa, Khalti or Fonepay on the site?
The site can be configured to integrate with such payment providers, but this depends on you obtaining a merchant account and approval from each provider under their own rules. We do not claim any partnership with them. COD and manual payment confirmation can run from day one.
Is cash on delivery supported?
Yes. COD is a standard option with settings for areas, minimum order value and order confirmation steps. Many shops call or message the buyer to confirm COD orders before dispatch to reduce failed deliveries.
Can I control delivery charges by location?
Yes. You can set different charges for areas such as Kathmandu valley, other cities and remote districts, add free delivery above a certain order value and show expected delivery times. These rules should match what your courier or rider actually charges.
Will my online stock match my physical shop?
It can, if the website is linked with your billing or stock system, and this is scoped in the quotation. Without a link, you update stock in the store admin. We will explain the options honestly during the demo.
Do I need a VAT registration to sell online?
That depends on your business and the current rules, which we cannot decide for you. The store can show VAT where required. Please confirm obligations with your accountant or the Inland Revenue Department.
Can I manage the shop from my phone?
Yes. The admin area is built to work in a mobile browser so you can check orders, change status and update stock without a computer. A stable internet connection is needed.
Will the site bring customers by itself?
No website does. It gives you a place to send customers from Facebook, Google and ads, and a base for search traffic over time. Photos, descriptions, pricing and promotion still determine sales.
How much does an ecommerce website cost?
Cost depends on the number of products, design, payment and delivery setup, stock links and hosting. We do not publish a list price. Message us on WhatsApp for a demo and a written quotation.
