What you are paying more for

Price differences between the editions come down to storage, what Meet can do, how far Gemini reaches into the apps, and the admin and retention tools. This is the full picture from Google's edition comparison.

Data loss prevention, Context-Aware Access and live streaming are Enterprise features, so no amount of money spent on a Business edition will unlock them. Enterprise editions have no user cap and Google does not publish their prices; those go through sales.

Storage is the number people misread most often. The figures above are pooled: five Starter users share 150 GB across the organisation, and one person can use far more than 30 GB of it. How pooled storage behaves, including what happens when you exceed the pool, is worth reading before you size a plan.

Google's own list prices

Google sells the same editions directly in US dollars. Its published prices per user per month are:

The two plans behave differently. On the flexible plan you are billed monthly, you can add or remove users at any time and you can cancel at any time. On the annual plan you commit for the year: you can add users at any time and they are prorated, but licences can only be reduced at renewal, and cancelling early leaves you responsible for the remaining balance of the commitment.

Google also runs introductory promotions from time to time for new customers, and since January 2025 the Gemini features are part of the Business and Enterprise plan price rather than a separate paid add-on. Google's own example was Business Standard plus the old Gemini add-on at $32, which became $14.

Paying WebsNP in rupees

WebsNP is a Nepal-based provider that supplies and sets up Google Workspace and bills in NPR. Your team's accounts are managed in your own Google Admin console, the same console you would have if you bought directly.

• Term. Starter and Standard are ordered for a one-year term per user. Plus can be ordered monthly or yearly.
• Payment methods. In rupees: Fonepay QR from your mobile banking app, bank transfer to NIC Asia Bank, or eSewa. Customers paying from abroad can use a card through Stripe or PayPal in USD.
• Invoices. Every payment gets an invoice, and we send renewal reminders before the term ends.
• Taxes. The checkout page shows the final amount payable, so there is no separate figure to work out afterwards.
• Adding users mid-term. Contact us and we will add licences to your existing subscription rather than starting a second one.
• Setup and migration. Included with every order: domain verification, MX, SPF, DKIM and DMARC records, user creation, and moving existing mailboxes from cPanel email, Zoho or another Workspace tenant.
• Refunds. Google Workspace subscriptions are non-refundable under our terms, so pick the edition deliberately.

Which edition for which team

Rather than compare feature lists, match the shape of your organisation.

• Email is the whole job. A five-person trading office that lives in Gmail, keeps a few shared spreadsheets and meets clients in person is a Business Starter case.
• Meetings and documents are the job. An education consultancy recording sessions with overseas universities, or an agency drafting proposals all day, is a Business Standard case. Recording, the fuller Gemini set and 2 TB per user all land here.
• Records must survive people leaving. Audit retention, legal holds and tighter device control are Business Plus territory.

If the price is the sticking point

Workspace is not the cheapest way to get email on your domain, and there is no reason to pretend otherwise. If your requirement is professional addresses and nothing more, WebsNP business email hosting costs less per mailbox and runs on our own servers. Zoho Mail sits between the two and is a reasonable fit for offices that mostly need mail plus light document work.
