Donation and Fundraising Software for Nepali Organisations
Issue numbered receipts, keep every donor and pledge in one record and show contributors and the committee exactly where the money came from and went.
Trusts, clubs, temples, schools and campaign committees in Nepal collect donations in cash, at events, through bank deposit and by mobile wallet, often with receipts from a pad and totals kept in one treasurer's notebook. When the committee changes or a donor asks about their contribution, the record is hard to rebuild. Donation and fundraising software keeps one reliable record of every gift.
WebsNP configures the system around your organisation: donor profiles, numbered receipts, funds or campaigns, pledges with instalments, in-kind gifts, collection by volunteer and reports for the committee. Dates can be in Bikram Sambat, amounts in NPR and thanks messages sent by WhatsApp or SMS.
How donations are treated for tax and reporting depends on law and on your constitution, so we set up records and leave those decisions to you and your accountant. See also NGO management software and temple, guthi and trust software. Message us on WhatsApp for a demo.
Who Donation and Fundraising Software is for
Trusts and charitable organisations
You receive regular and one-off gifts and want clean donor records and receipts that match the account books.
Campaign and emergency relief committees
You raise money fast for a cause such as a disaster or a medical case and must show transparent accounts afterwards.
Temples, monasteries and religious bodies
Donations arrive for festivals, construction and daily upkeep and need separate funds.
Clubs, youth groups and alumni associations
You collect contributions for events, scholarships and projects from members and well-wishers.
Schools, hospitals and community institutions
You receive building, scholarship or equipment gifts and need to report on how they were used.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Receipts from the pad do not match the cash and bank | Every receipt is numbered in sequence and linked to a cash or bank entry, so totals agree by design. |
| Nobody can say what one donor gave over the years | Each donor has a profile with history across funds and years, found by name or phone. |
| Pledges are forgotten after the event | Pledges and instalments are tracked with due dates and gentle reminders. |
| Restricted gifts get mixed with general money | Each gift goes to a named fund or campaign and reports show balance per fund. |
| The new treasurer inherits a mess | Records live in the system, not a personal notebook, and the handover is a login, not a hunt. |
| Donors ask where the money went and the answer is slow | Fund-wise income and expense reports can be shared with the committee or donors in minutes. |

Built for how Nepal works
Bikram Sambat dates and festival cycles
Gifts are recorded in BS, and reports can be grouped by Nepali month, which suits Dashain, Tihar, jatra and local event fundraising.
Cash, bank and mobile wallet gifts
Donors give in cash, by bank deposit and increasingly by wallet. The system records each mode with a reference, and wallet links can be configured where you hold an account with the provider.
Rules set by your constitution and the law
How gifts are received, who may sign receipts and what must be reported to the registering authority depend on your constitution and local rules. We configure records; you and your accountant decide the rules.
Diaspora and remittance-linked giving
Many gifts come from relatives abroad, so records can hold a country, a foreign currency note and the NPR amount actually received.
Community trust and visible accounts
In small communities, donors expect to see accounts at the annual general meeting, so reports are designed to be printed and read aloud.

Can the software issue numbered donation receipts?
Yes. Receipts are numbered in sequence in your own format, with the donor name, amount, fund, date in BS and AD and the name of the person who received it. Cancelled receipts stay on record with a reason, so numbers are never reused or silently deleted.
Does it handle tax exemption on donations?
We do not give tax advice. The system keeps the donor details, amounts and receipt records that an accountant may need, and can print the receipt wording you are told to use. What counts for any exemption in Nepal is decided by law and the tax authorities, so confirm it with your accountant.
Can we track pledges made at an event?
Yes. You record the promised amount, instalment dates and the person who took the pledge. The system lists what is outstanding and can prepare WhatsApp or SMS reminders, which you review before sending.
Can we keep separate funds such as building and scholarship?
Yes. Each gift is allocated to a fund or campaign, and reports show income, spending and balance per fund. This helps you respect donors who gave for a specific purpose.
Can donors give online?
It can be configured for payment links or QR codes where you hold an account with a payment provider. Each online gift is recorded with its reference, but the provider terms and any fees are between you and that provider, and we explain the options in the demo.
Can we hide donor names for anonymous gifts?
Yes. A gift can be marked anonymous so the name is hidden in public or shared reports while the committee can still see it where your rules allow. The treasurer decides who has access.
Can we import our old donor list?
Yes. We import names, phones and past gifts from Excel. Handwritten registers can be typed in as part of set-up, and the effort depends on how many pages there are.
What does it cost?
It depends on users, funds, messaging and any payment links. We give a written quote after a demo and do not name a figure before we understand your organisation.
