Project Management Software for Nepali Teams: Tasks, Deadlines and Client Reports
Track who is doing what by when, log time against projects and share clean progress reports with clients, without digging through WhatsApp groups.
Ask a project manager in a Nepali software, design or construction firm where a task is, and the honest answer is often "let me check the group". Instructions are scattered over WhatsApp, files hide in email and deadlines live in one person's head. The work gets done, but with constant chasing and a lot of surprises on the delivery date.
A project management system gives every project a single home: tasks with owners and due dates, discussion beside the work it concerns, files attached, time logged and a status anyone can read in ten seconds. Managers stop interrupting people to ask for updates, and clients receive reports without a manager writing them by hand.
WebsNP sets up project management software around how your team works, whether you run sprints, hourly client jobs or site-based projects. Features are chosen with you rather than dumped on you. Pricing is shared after a demo and a written quote.
Who Project Management Software is for
Software, web and app development firms
Teams juggling several client projects, bug lists and release dates who need clear ownership and time records.
Design, marketing and advertising agencies
Creative teams handling campaigns, approvals and revisions where feedback gets lost in chat.
Construction, interior and installation companies
Site-based work with milestones, material needs and several supervisors to coordinate.
Consultancies and NGOs
Organisations delivering funded or contracted projects that need activity tracking and progress reporting.
Internal teams in growing companies
IT, operations or marketing departments that run internal projects alongside their daily routine.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Task instructions are buried in WhatsApp groups and get missed. | Every task has an owner, a due date, a description and a comment thread, so the instruction lives with the work. |
| The manager keeps asking "what is the status?" all day. | Boards and lists show status live, so a status question is answered by opening the project, not by interrupting a person. |
| Deadlines slip silently until the client calls. | Overdue and due-this-week views flag risk early, and managers can rebalance work before the day of delivery. |
| You cannot tell how many hours a project really took. | Staff log time on tasks, and reports compare estimated and actual hours per project and per person. |
| Client reports are rewritten manually every week. | A progress report is generated from task status, milestones and time, and can be shared as a view or exported to PDF. |
| Work depends on one person who knows everything. | Task history, files and decisions are recorded, so a colleague can take over without a long handover call. |
| Priorities change and nobody knows what was dropped. | Reordering and re-dating tasks leaves a trail, so changes are visible and agreed instead of assumed. |

Built for how Nepal works
WhatsApp groups as the default tool
Nepali teams already coordinate on WhatsApp and Viber. The system is designed to replace the instructions and status updates in those groups, while chat remains for quick talk.
Nepali calendar, weekly off and festivals
Nepal's working week and the long Dashain and Tihar breaks affect deadlines. Due dates can show in BS, and holidays can be marked so schedules stay realistic.
Mixed local and overseas clients
Many Nepali agencies serve clients abroad. Time zones, English reports and time-based billing records are supported, while invoicing arrangements stay between you and your client.
Power and internet interruptions
The system is web-based and light on mobile, so staff can update a task from a phone when the office connection drops.
How we get you started
- Understand your delivery process We learn how work flows from client request to delivery, how many projects run at once and who reports to whom.
- Demo with your sample project We build a sample project from your real work, so you see stages, roles and reports that match your team.
- Setup and import Projects, users, templates, task stages and permissions are configured, and active tasks can be imported from Excel.
- Team onboarding Short sessions for managers and staff, focused on creating tasks, updating status and logging time.
- Review after the first month We look at how the team actually uses it and simplify fields, stages and reports accordingly.

Why not just use WhatsApp groups for projects?
WhatsApp is good for quick conversation but weak at ownership, deadlines, history and reports. Instructions scroll away, nothing marks a task as done and you cannot see workload. Many teams keep WhatsApp for chat and use a project tool for tasks.
Can we use it for both software projects and non-software work?
Yes. Boards and task lists suit most project types, including design, marketing, construction and consulting. The stages, fields and templates can be set differently for each kind of project.
Can clients log in to see progress?
Yes, a limited client view can be configured so they see selected tasks, milestones and reports and can comment, without access to internal notes or time costs. What clients see is your decision.
Does it track working hours and billable time?
Staff can log time against tasks and projects, and reports compare estimated with actual hours. This helps with quoting and with billing clients on hourly or retainer terms. Invoices themselves can be linked to your accounting process.
Will it work on mobile phones?
The interface is built for use in a phone browser as well as on a computer, so staff can update tasks on the move. A working internet connection is needed to save changes.
We already use a foreign tool. Why switch?
Many foreign tools are excellent. A switch may make sense if you want NPR billing, local support, BS dates, custom fields, hosting under your control or to avoid per-user dollar subscriptions. If your current tool works, we will say so honestly.
How do we get the team to actually use it?
Start with a small set of habits: every task has an owner and a date, status is updated daily and the weekly meeting runs from the board. The manager must also stop accepting status updates in chat groups.
What does it cost?
Cost depends on users, customisation, client portal needs and hosting. We do not publish a list price. Message us on WhatsApp to arrange a demo and receive a written quote.
