Accounting, billing and retail
Hardware and Building Material Shop Billing Software
Bill in kg, bags, feet and pieces, keep contractor credit under control, update rates in one place and know exactly what is in the godown.
A hardware shop sells hundreds of items in different units. Rod by the kilogram or by the piece, cement by the bag, pipe by the foot or the length, wire by the coil or the metre, nails by the packet and paint by the litre. The same product may be bought in one unit and sold in another, and every contractor expects their own rate and a running khata.
WebsNP Hardware Shop Software handles those unit conversions, customer-wise rates, credit ledgers and delivery notes in one billing screen. Stock updates as you sell, rates can be changed once and applied everywhere and the owner can see dues, fast movers and godown balances without opening a notebook.
It is built for the way shops in Nepal trade: credit with contractors and masons, sales on phone orders with delivery, supplier purchases on bill and rate changes that follow the market. Price is quoted after a demo, based on counters, users and branches. Learn more about hardware shop software or message us on WhatsApp.

Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Rod is bought by weight and sold by the piece, and the stock never matches. | Each product keeps a conversion between units, so selling pieces reduces the weight stock correctly. |
| Cement and rod rates change often and staff quote old prices. | Update the rate once and it applies to all new bills, with a log of who changed it. |
| Contractor khata lives in several notebooks and nobody knows the total. | Every customer has a ledger with bills, receipts and a balance you can print or send. |
| Delivery orders on phone are forgotten or sent wrongly. | Orders become delivery notes with address, vehicle and status. |
| Slow items sit for years in the corner of the godown. | Stock ageing shows what has not moved so you can discount or stop buying. |
| You do not know the margin on a bill when you give a discount. | Cost and margin are visible to the owner on every bill, hidden from counter staff if you wish. |

Built for how Nepal works
Khata and udhari culture
Credit to regular contractors and masons is normal. Ledgers, limits and due lists put structure around it without changing how you trade.
Market-driven rates
Cement, rod and pipe rates move with the market and with transport. The rate list and purchase entry help you keep selling prices above landed cost.
VAT and PAN bills
Billing supports 13% VAT, PAN or VAT numbers and Bikram Sambat dates. Confirm current invoice rules with the Inland Revenue Department; WebsNP configures your layout.
Transport and loading costs
Trucking and labour charges can be added to purchase cost so margins are not overstated.
Load-shedding and weak connectivity
The counter can be configured to continue billing through short power or internet breaks. Confirm your setup at the demo.

Can I buy rod by weight and sell it by the piece?
Yes. Each product can have a base unit and alternative units with a conversion, such as kilograms and pieces. Stock stays consistent whichever unit you sell in, though conversion for rods depends on size, which is set per product.
Can different customers get different rates?
Yes. You can keep retail, contractor and wholesale rate lists, and assign a list to each customer. A manual override is possible for special deals and can be logged or restricted to the owner.
How does the credit ledger work?
Each customer or site has a ledger that records bills and receipts with a running balance. You can set a limit, print a statement and see an overdue list to follow up, including by message.
Does it support delivery tracking?
Orders can be converted to delivery notes with address, vehicle and status. This helps when customers call asking where their material is and when you need proof of receipt.
Is it suitable for a small shop?
Yes. A small shop can start with billing, units and credit, and add godowns, delivery and branches later. The demo will show what suits your size.
Can it print VAT bills?
Bills can use 13% VAT, PAN details and Bikram Sambat dates in your layout. Check current invoice requirements with the Inland Revenue Department, and we will configure the layout accordingly.
Can I import my existing product list?
Usually yes. Products, units, rates, opening stock and customer balances can be imported from Excel after we check the file with you.
What does it cost?
Price depends on users, branches and customisation, so we quote after a demo. Message WebsNP on WhatsApp at +977 9846280400 to arrange one.
