Inventory and Stock Software for Nepali Businesses
Know what is in every godown and shop today, what is running low and what has sat unsold for months, with purchase, sale and transfer entries in one place.
A stock register that is right on Monday and wrong by Friday is the usual story in Nepali shops and warehouses. Goods come in with one bill, go out with another, move between godowns on a handwritten slip and get counted once a year. Inventory management software replaces that drift with a running balance for every item in every location.
WebsNP sets up the system around your goods: units such as piece, box, kg and carton, multiple godowns or branches, batch and expiry where it matters, and reorder levels so you buy before the shelf is empty. Purchases, sales, returns, damage and transfers all change the balance the moment they are entered.
If you also need counter billing, see POS billing software, or for dealers who supply other shops read about wholesale and distribution software. Message us on WhatsApp for a demo with your own item list.
Who Inventory Management Software is for
Retail shops with growing item lists
Thousands of items no longer fit in memory or a notebook and you keep finding out about shortages from customers.
Traders with more than one godown
Stock sits in a shop, a warehouse and sometimes a rented room, and nobody is sure which one holds what.
Importers and distributors
You buy in bulk, wait on shipments and need to know landed cost and what is still on the way.
Small manufacturers and workshops
You track raw material and finished goods and need to see what is left before a production run.
Institutions with stores
Schools, hospitals and offices that issue consumables from a store and want a record of who took what.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| The physical count never matches the register | Every movement is a dated entry, so a difference at stock taking can be traced to a bill, transfer or adjustment instead of guessed at. |
| Popular items run out while slow items pile up | Reorder levels and a slow-moving report show what to buy now and what to stop buying. |
| Goods moved between godowns disappear on paper | A transfer reduces one location and adds to the other, with the person who moved it recorded. |
| Expired or damaged goods are found too late | Batch and expiry dates give an early list of what must be sold, returned or written off. |
| Cost and selling price are mixed up when rates change | Purchase rates are stored per purchase, so margin reports use the cost you actually paid. |
| Staff can quietly adjust stock | Adjustments need a reason, a user name and a date, and appear in an activity log. |

Bikram Sambat and fiscal year
Dates can show in BS next to AD, and stock reports can follow the Nepali fiscal year that starts in Shrawan, including opening balances at year start.
Units used in Nepali trade
Dozen, carton, bori, kg, litre and piece can be defined with conversions, so a purchase in cartons sells in pieces.
Imported goods and landed cost
Customs, clearing and transport can be added to purchase cost so the stock value reflects what it really cost to land.

Can it manage more than one godown or branch?
Yes. Each location keeps its own balance, and transfers move stock between them with a record. You can view one location or the combined stock, and give each user access only to the locations they work in.
Does it handle batch numbers and expiry dates?
It can be configured to record batch and expiry on purchase and show near-expiry and expired lists. This suits food, medicine-adjacent and cosmetic goods. If your goods never expire, you can leave the feature off.
Can I import my existing item list from Excel?
Yes. We import item names, codes, units, rates and opening quantities from a sheet. Messy lists are cleaned together with you first, because duplicate items are the most common cause of wrong stock later.
How does it help with reorder decisions?
You set a minimum level per item, and the system lists what has fallen below it with the suggested order quantity. It does not buy anything for you, but it removes the guessing before you call suppliers.
Is VAT billing included?
Sales and purchase entries can be configured for 13% VAT where your business is registered. Billing rules for registered businesses change, so we confirm current requirements with you and your accountant before set-up.
Can I use barcode scanners and label printers?
The system is designed to work with common USB barcode scanners and label printers. Tell us the model you own or plan to buy and we confirm it works before you commit.
What happens at the yearly stock taking?
You enter counted quantities, the system shows differences against the book balance and you post adjustments with a reason. Opening balances then carry into the new fiscal year without retyping.
What does it cost?
The price depends on the number of locations, users, modules and any hardware. We give a written quote after a demo, with no figure quoted before we understand your trade.
