Accounting, billing and retail

Accounting Software in Nepal Built Around Nepali Books

Ledgers, vouchers, VAT, TDS and trial balance in Bikram Sambat dates, set up for your shop, company or firm and supported on WhatsApp.

Most Nepali businesses still keep their real accounts in three places: a diary, an Excel sheet and the accountant's head. The result is the same every Ashad end. Someone spends nights matching the bank, the party ledgers and the VAT figures before the auditor arrives. Accounting software replaces that scramble with one set of books that is already balanced on any day you look.

WebsNP sets up accounting software for the way Nepali offices actually work: Bikram Sambat dates with a fiscal year that starts in Shrawan, 13% VAT on sales and purchases, TDS deducted and deposited, party ledgers for credit customers and suppliers, and reports in the format your auditor expects to see.

This is not a generic foreign package with Nepali words pasted on. We configure the chart of accounts, voucher series, users and reports with you, then support the team on WhatsApp after go-live. Prices are quoted after a demo, because a single-shop ledger and a multi-branch company are very different jobs.

Who Accounting Software is for

Retail and wholesale shops

Owners who need sales, purchase, party ledgers and daily cash in one place instead of a diary and a separate billing tool.

Private limited companies

Companies that must show ledgers, trial balance, balance sheet and VAT records to an auditor every year.

Service firms and consultancies

Businesses that raise invoices, deduct or suffer TDS and need to know which clients still owe money.

Accounting offices and part-time accountants

Accountants who look after several small clients and want separate, clean company books for each.

Institutions and NGOs

Organisations that need fund-wise or project-wise income and expense records with clear vouchers.

Problems it solves

The problem todayHow the software fixes it
Books are only balanced in a panic before the audit.Every voucher posts to the ledger as it is entered, so the trial balance is always current and mismatches show the same day.
Party balances in the diary and the Excel sheet disagree. One party ledger with opening balance, bills, receipts and returns, printable as a statement to send on WhatsApp.
VAT figures are rebuilt by hand every month.Sales and purchase books with VAT amounts are produced from the vouchers, so the monthly figures come from the entries themselves.
TDS deducted is forgotten or deposited late.TDS payable is tracked as a ledger with a voucher trail, so you can see what is deducted and what is still to be deposited.
English dates and Nepali dates get mixed up.Dates are entered and reported in Bikram Sambat with a Shrawan to Ashad fiscal year, with AD shown where you need it.
The accountant leaves and nobody understands the files.Data stays in your system with user logins and an audit trail, so a new person can pick up from the ledgers.

Built for how Nepal works

Bikram Sambat and the Shrawan fiscal year

Transactions are dated in BS and the year runs from Shrawan to Ashad, so reports line up with how Nepali audits and returns are organised.

13% VAT and exempt items

VAT is calculated at the standard 13% rate, and exempt or zero-rated items can be marked separately. Confirm any rate or rule change with the Inland Revenue Department at ird.gov.np.

TDS on payments

Tracks TDS as a liability so deducted amounts and deposits are visible. We configure the heads you use; check current rates and due dates with IRD.

Nepali business habits

Udharo party accounts, post-dated cheques, cash in hand and WhatsApp statements are handled as normal parts of the workflow, not as exceptions.

Frequently asked questions

Does the software support Nepali (BS) dates?

Yes. Vouchers and reports use Bikram Sambat dates and a fiscal year running from Shrawan to Ashad. English dates can be shown alongside where they are useful, for example on bank statements.

Can it handle VAT and TDS?

It keeps VAT sales and purchase records at 13% and tracks TDS deducted and deposited. It supplies the records you need for your returns. Please confirm current rules and rates with the Inland Revenue Department.

Can I move my existing Excel or Tally data?

In most cases we enter or import your closing trial balance and party opening balances. Full transaction history can be imported when the old data is clean. We tell you what is possible after seeing your files.

Is it suitable for a small shop?

Yes, if you want proper ledgers and party statements instead of a diary. For a very small shop we can keep the set-up simple, and add stock or billing later when you need them.

Will my auditor accept the reports?

The reports are standard ledgers, trial balance, profit and loss and balance sheet with exports to Excel and PDF. We can adjust the layout to what your auditor asks for. Final acceptance is always the auditor's decision.

Does it work without internet?

It depends on the set-up. A local installation can run inside your office network, and an online version needs internet. We explain both at the demo so you can choose based on your connection and load-shedding situation.

Can several people use it at once?

Yes. You can create separate logins for the owner, accountant and data-entry staff, each with limited access, and every change is logged against the user.

How much does it cost?

The price depends on users, branches and modules, so we quote after a demo rather than publishing a fixed number. Message us on WhatsApp on 9846280400 with your business details to start.
