Law Firm Software for Case Diaries, Hearings and Client Files

Keep every case, hearing date, client document and fee in one private record, with reminders for the dates you enter.

A lawyer's working memory is a pile of files, a diary full of dates and a phone that rings with the same question: when is the next hearing? When a case moves from one court to another, or an associate handles a date, the paper diary quickly becomes hard to trust. Our law firm software keeps each case, its parties, hearing dates, documents and fees in one place.

You enter the case once with its court, case number, parties and stage, then add each hearing date as it is given. The system shows today's cause list, next week's dates and the cases with no date set, and reminds the lawyer and the associate of the dates you have entered. Fee agreements, payments and balances sit beside the case.

This is practice management software, not legal advice or a source of law. WebsNP configures the fields, court names and roles for your office and keeps access private by user. See also our document management software if you need a wider filing system.

Who Law Firm Software is for

Solo advocates

Individual practitioners who keep the diary themselves and want hearing dates, client calls and fees organised without extra staff.

Small law firms

Offices with a few advocates, associates and a clerk who must share case information without sharing everything with everybody.

Litigation chambers

Practices with many pending cases across district courts, high courts and tribunals, where missing a date has serious cost.

Corporate and advisory lawyers

Lawyers who handle contracts, company matters and retainers and track matters, deadlines and billable work rather than hearings.

Law office managers and clerks

Staff who prepare the daily cause list, chase documents and update the office after every visit to court.

Problems it solves

The problem todayHow the software fixes it
The next hearing date is written in a paper diary that only one person can read.Every date is entered against the case, searchable by court, lawyer or client, and shown on a calendar and cause list.
A clerk returns from court and the result is told on the phone but never recorded. After each hearing a short note records what happened and the next date, so the case history builds itself.
Client files and documents are scattered across paper folders, email and phones.Documents are attached to the case with type and date, and access is limited by user.
Fees are agreed verbally and balances are forgotten or disputed. The fee agreement, instalments, expenses and receipts are recorded per case, with a clear balance.
Confidential matters are visible to everyone in the office.Role based access lets only assigned lawyers and permitted staff open sensitive matters.
Clients keep calling to ask for updates because there is no quick way to find them.A case summary page gives the stage, last hearing and next date in seconds, ready to share by message.

Built for how Nepal works

Bikram Sambat dates

Court dates in Nepal are given in BS, so the system takes BS dates first and shows the English date alongside, avoiding conversion mistakes.

Court and tribunal structure

Courts, benches and tribunals can be listed as you use them, from district courts to high courts, the Supreme Court and quasi-judicial bodies, with their case number formats.

Nepali language records

Party names, addresses and notes can be stored in Nepali script as they appear on court papers, with English alongside where you prefer.

Confidentiality and Bar practice

Access control and an activity log support your professional duty of confidence. Follow the rules of the Nepal Bar Council and your own judgment on what to record and share.

Fees and VAT

Invoices can include VAT at 13% where your practice is registered for it. Confirm your own obligations with your accountant.

How we get you started

  1. Talk through your practice We learn your court mix, roles, how the diary works now and which reports you want, usually in one call.
  2. Set up and import We configure courts, case types, users and permissions, then import your current cases, clients and next dates.
  3. Demo on a sample matter You walk through one case from registration to hearing, document, fee and closure, and request changes.
  4. Train the office Advocates, associates and clerks learn the parts they use, including how to record a hearing result in under a minute.
  5. Go live with support We help through the first weeks while the paper diary and the system run side by side.
Need it changed to fit you? Every office keeps its diary differently, so WebsNP can customise case types, stages, court lists, cause list layouts, fee schedules and permissions. Tell us how your chamber works and we will say what fits. See custom software development.

Frequently asked questions

Does the software give legal advice or case law?

No. It is practice management software that helps you record cases, dates, documents and fees. It does not interpret law, predict outcomes or replace your professional judgment. Use official sources and your own research for legal work.

Will it remind me of hearing dates?

It reminds you of the dates that you or your staff enter. Reminders can appear in the system and be sent by SMS or WhatsApp if that channel is configured. Accuracy depends on the date being entered correctly after each hearing.

Can it handle Bikram Sambat dates?

Yes. Dates are entered and shown in Bikram Sambat with the English date alongside, because Nepali courts and clients use BS. This reduces the risk of a conversion error when you set the next date.

How is client confidentiality protected?

Each user has a login and a role, and sensitive matters can be restricted to assigned lawyers. An activity log shows who opened or changed a record. Backups and hosting choices are discussed with you, and you stay responsible for professional confidentiality.

Can I track fees and expenses for each case?

Yes. You can record the fee agreement, instalments received, court fees and other expenses per case, and see the balance. Invoices can include VAT at 13% where your practice is registered, confirmed with your accountant.

Can my associates and clerk use it?

Yes. Each person gets a login with permissions that match their role. A clerk may update hearing results, an associate may draft and manage tasks, and the senior advocate may see everything, including fee reports.

Will it work without internet?

That depends on the setup. A local installation can work on office computers without a connection, while a cloud setup lets you check the diary from a phone but needs internet. We explain the trade-offs in the demo.

How much does it cost?

The price depends on the number of users, the modules, hosting and customisation. We give a quote after a demo, so a solo advocate and a larger chamber each pay for what they actually need.
