Pathology and Diagnostic Lab Software for Nepal
Test catalogue, sample numbering, result entry, printable reports and referral commission tracking for pathology labs and collection centres.
A lab produces one thing: a correct report for the right person at the right time. The risks sit in the steps around the test, such as a sample label written by hand, a result copied into a Word template, a report handed to the wrong person or a referral commission worked out at month end from slips. Each step is a place for a mistake or a dispute.
WebsNP builds pathology lab software that follows the sample from billing to the printed report. The front desk registers the patient and picks tests from your catalogue, each sample gets a number or barcode, technicians enter results against ranges your pathologist defines, and the report prints on your letterhead. Referral doctors and collection centres are tracked so commission and dues are visible.
It suits standalone labs, hospital-attached labs, polyclinic labs and collection centres. If your lab sits inside a hospital, see hospital management software for the wider system. We set up the catalogue and report layouts around your lab.
Who Pathology Lab Software is for
Independent diagnostic labs
Labs that take walk-in patients, doctor referrals and collection from partner clinics.
Labs attached to clinics or hospitals
Departments that need orders from doctors, results sent back and charges linked to the patient bill.
Collection centres and franchises
Points that collect samples and send them to a main lab, needing sample dispatch and received tracking.
Pathologists and technicians
Staff who want fewer retyped results, clean work lists and reports ready for sign-off.
Lab owners
People who need daily collection, test-wise volume, referral payouts and outstanding dues in one place.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Reports are typed into Word templates and errors creep in. | Results are entered in fields tied to each test, with your ranges and units, and the report layout fills itself. |
| Samples are mixed up or lost between collection and the bench. | Every sample gets a unique number or barcode label, and a work list shows what is pending, in process or reported. |
| Referral commission is argued at month end. | Each bill records the referrer, and commission is calculated from the rules you set and listed for payout. |
| Patients keep calling to ask if their report is ready. | Status is visible at the desk, and a ready message can go by SMS or WhatsApp when you choose. |
| Collection centres send paper slips with missing details. | Centre users register patients in the system or you enter once, and dispatch lists show what was sent. |
| The owner cannot tell which tests are profitable. | Reports show volume and revenue by test, referrer and day, and you can add costs per test if you track them. |

Built for how Nepal works
Doctor referral practice
Referral arrangements with doctors and clinics are common. The software records the agreed rule and what was paid so figures are transparent. Check with your professional body about what is permitted for you.
Collection centres in towns and districts
Many labs take samples from smaller towns. Dispatch, receipt and centre-wise rates are tracked so nothing is lost on the road.
Reports sent by WhatsApp or SMS
Patients often ask for a report by phone. Sharing options are configurable, and we advise on privacy-conscious defaults.
BS dates and bilingual reports
Collection and report dates can show BS and AD, and headings can be Nepali and English.
VAT and credit accounts
Bills are in NPR. VAT at 13% can be configured where it applies to what you sell; confirm exemptions for lab services with your accountant or the Inland Revenue Department.

Who sets the reference ranges?
Your pathologist or lab director does. We enter the ranges, units and wording you provide. The software does not decide what is normal or give any medical interpretation.
Can it connect to our analyser?
Some analysers can send results to a computer through their own interface. Whether this is possible depends on the model and its settings. We discuss it after you tell us the equipment, and it is scoped separately.
Does it print barcode labels?
Yes, sample labels with number, patient and test can be printed on a label printer at registration. Share your printer model and we will confirm the label size and layout with you.
Can we track referral commission?
Yes. You record the referrer on each bill, define rules such as a percentage or a fixed amount per test, and see payout statements. What arrangements are appropriate is for you to confirm with your professional body.
Can collection centres use it?
Centres can register patients and send samples to the main lab, and you can set centre-wise rates and statements. We explain the options in a demo.
Is patient data protected?
Staff have individual logins with roles, edits are logged and we recommend regular backups. The lab decides who can view and share reports.
Can we import our test list?
If your tests and prices are in Excel, we can import them after checking names, categories and sample types with you. Reference ranges come from your pathologist and are entered separately.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on users, modules, centres and any equipment connection. You receive a written quote after a demo, so there is nothing to pay before you have seen the system working.
