Courier and Cargo Management Software for Nepali Delivery Businesses
Book parcels, track them from branch to doorstep, settle cash on delivery with merchants and see every rider and branch in one place.
A courier business in Nepal lives on small promises: the parcel will reach Pokhara by Thursday, the COD cash will be back to the merchant on Sunday, the receiver will get an SMS. When those promises are tracked in a notebook, a WhatsApp group and three Excel sheets, one missing row becomes a lost parcel and an angry merchant.
WebsNP builds courier and cargo software that gives every parcel one booking number and one history. Counter staff book it, the hub scans it, the rider delivers it and the accounts team settles the cash against the same record. Nothing is retyped, so nothing quietly goes missing between desks.
It suits a single-counter courier in Kathmandu as well as a company with branches in Butwal, Biratnagar and Birgunj. We configure the rate rules, branch list and slips for your operation, and you can see the stock side or the SMS and WhatsApp side of the business in the same family of tools.
Who Courier and Cargo Software is for
Local courier companies
Owners who pick up from online sellers and deliver inside the Valley or to major cities and want clean daily closing.
Cargo and parcel offices
Counters that send goods by bus or night coach and need a booking receipt, a manifest and a receiver pickup record.
Branch networks
Companies with several branches and franchise points that must see what is in transit, delivered or stuck at each hub.
Online sellers with own delivery
Shops that run their own riders and need COD collection and return tracking against each order.
Rider fleets and sub-contractors
Businesses that pay riders per delivery and need clear counts of delivered, failed and returned parcels.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Parcels are booked on paper and customers keep calling to ask where they are. | Each parcel gets a tracking number and status history that staff can search in seconds and send to the sender by SMS or WhatsApp. |
| COD cash is collected by riders but the merchant settlement is calculated by hand every week. | Collected COD is recorded per parcel, rider deposits are matched, and a merchant statement shows delivery charge deducted and net payable. |
| Branches report in different formats and the head office cannot see the true picture. | All branches work in one system with branch-wise booking, in-transit and delivered counts visible to head office. |
| Failed deliveries and returns are forgotten until the merchant complains. | Failed attempts need a reason, repeat attempts are listed, and return-to-sender parcels stay on an open list until closed. |
| Rider performance is judged by feeling, not numbers. | Reports show assigned, delivered, failed and returned parcels per rider per day, with COD handed in. |
| Rates differ by destination, weight and merchant, and staff quote them from memory. | Rate rules by zone and weight band, plus special merchant rates, are stored once and applied at booking. |

Built for how Nepal works
Addresses without house numbers
Nepali addresses rely on tole, chowk and landmarks. Address fields and a landmark note are built for this, with the receiver phone as the main contact.
COD is the default
Most online orders are paid on delivery. The system treats COD as a first-class flow rather than an afterthought.
Valley and outside-Valley routes
Rates and timelines differ between local runs, highway routes and hill districts, and the rate card can reflect that.
Bikram Sambat dates and VAT
Reports can show BS dates and fiscal years starting in Shrawan, and invoices can carry 13% VAT. Confirm your own registration and billing needs with your accountant.
Bus park and night coach hand-offs
Where parcels travel on a third-party coach, the manifest records vehicle, driver contact and receiver pickup.

Read guide ›Frequently asked questions
Can parcels be tracked by customers?
Yes, the system is designed so that senders and receivers can be given a tracking number and status updates by SMS or WhatsApp. The exact channel is set up with your gateway or number during configuration.
How does COD settlement work?
The COD amount sits on each parcel. When a rider delivers, collection is recorded, the rider deposits cash at the counter, and the merchant statement shows COD collected minus your delivery charge. Settlement timing follows your own policy.
Can I run many branches?
Yes. Branches book and receive parcels in the same system, transfer manifests move parcels between hubs, and head office can filter any report by branch.
Do riders need smartphones?
Not necessarily. Many couriers use a printed run sheet and let counter staff update status, while others let riders report by phone or message. We discuss what suits your riders at the demo.
Will it work with load-shedding or weak internet?
It is web based, so it needs internet at the counter. Most offices have a backup connection or inverter, and we can discuss a plan for your branches during setup.
Can it handle merchants with special rates?
Yes, each merchant can have a rate card and credit terms that override the general rates, with their own statement and ledger.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the number of branches, users and special features. We share a quote after a demo, so you pay for what your operation needs.
Can you move my existing data?
Merchant lists, customer contacts and rate sheets kept in Excel can usually be imported. Open parcels are best entered at the switch-over date.
