CA and Audit Firm Software for Client Files, Dates and Billing
Run your accounting practice with one record for every client, task, due date, document and fee, with reminders for the dates you enter.
A chartered accountant's office handles dozens of clients at once, each with its own set of returns, audits, certificates and queries. When the status of each lives in a staff member's head or in a spreadsheet nobody updates, work slips, juniors are idle or overloaded and the partner learns of a problem too late. Our CA and audit firm software gives the practice one clear record per client.
You set up each client with their registrations, engagement types and the dates that matter, assign the work to staff and track every task from request for documents to completion and billing. The software holds the due dates you enter and reminds the team before they arrive, so nothing depends on memory.
This is practice management, not tax or audit advice, and it does not decide any filing date for you. WebsNP configures engagements, checklists, roles and fee rules for your firm. If you also keep the books for clients, see our accounting software.
Who CA and Audit Firm Software is for
Chartered accountant practices
Firms of one to several partners handling audit, tax, company and advisory work for many clients.
Audit firms with article students
Practices that assign fieldwork to articled staff and need working papers, queries and review status tracked.
Bookkeeping and tax consultants
Small offices that prepare VAT and income tax work for shops and companies on a monthly cycle.
Company registration and compliance agents
Consultants who track annual renewals, registrations and filings for many small companies.
Partners who want visibility
Senior accountants who want to see workload, overdue tasks and unbilled work without asking each person.
Problems it solves
| The problem today | How the software fixes it |
|---|---|
| Client due dates sit in a diary or Excel sheet and are missed when the person responsible is away. | Dates you enter for each client engagement appear on a shared calendar, with reminders sent to the assigned staff and the partner. |
| Documents are requested over WhatsApp and calls, then nobody knows what has arrived. | A checklist per engagement shows which documents are received, pending or chased, with the date of each request. |
| Work is spread unevenly, so one junior is overloaded while another waits. | A workload view shows open tasks per person and per week, so assignments can be balanced. |
| Fees are billed late or forgotten because nobody tracks time or completed work. | Completed engagements flow into a billing list with the agreed fee, and unbilled work is highlighted. |
| Client papers are shared across personal phones and mailboxes with no control. | Documents are stored by client and engagement with role based access and an activity log. |
| Audit queries and review points get lost between staff and partners. | Queries and review notes are logged against the engagement with an owner, a status and a closing date. |

Built for how Nepal works
Bikram Sambat and fiscal year
Nepali firms work in the BS calendar with a fiscal year that begins in Shrawan. Dates, periods and reports can follow that cycle, with the English date alongside.
Dates you enter, not dates we assert
Filing and renewal dates change with law and notices. The software stores the dates your firm enters from official sources and reminds you, but it does not decide them. Check the Inland Revenue Department and other bodies for current requirements.
VAT and PAN client base
Clients are usually PAN or VAT registered businesses, and the client master holds both numbers, filing periods and contact people for each.
ICAN practice context
Firms follow the standards and rules of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nepal. The software supports record keeping, and professional judgment stays with the partner.
Nepali and English records
Client names and addresses can be stored in Nepali and English, matching how they appear on registration documents and returns.

Does the software tell me the tax filing dates?
No. Dates change with law and official notices, so the software stores the dates your firm enters from official sources and reminds you before they arrive. This keeps responsibility with the practice and avoids relying on a date that may have changed.
Can I track documents requested from clients?
Yes. Each engagement has a checklist of papers you need. You mark what has been received, what is pending and when you last chased the client. The partner can see at a glance which clients are holding up work.
Can I manage article students and staff workload?
Yes. Tasks can be assigned to each person with due dates and a reviewer. A workload view shows open tasks per person and per week, so seniors can balance assignments before deadlines get close.
Can it bill clients for fees?
Yes. You record the agreed fee for each engagement and create invoices when work is complete, with VAT at 13% where your practice charges it. Unbilled completed work is highlighted so fees are not forgotten. Confirm tax treatment with your own advisers.
Is client information kept confidential?
Each user has a login and a role, and clients can be restricted to named staff. An activity log shows who opened or changed records. Hosting and backup options are explained before you decide, and professional confidentiality remains your responsibility.
Is this the same as accounting software?
No. Practice management tracks your firm's clients, tasks, dates and fees. Accounting software records a business's transactions and books. Some firms use both, and we can discuss how they fit together if you also keep client books.
Can I use it from a phone?
With a cloud setup, yes. Partners can check dates, tasks and dues from a phone browser, and staff can upload photographed documents. A local setup keeps data in the office. We explain which suits your firm during the demo.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on the number of users, modules, hosting and customisation. We give a quote after a demo, so a two person practice and a larger firm each pay for what they will actually use.
